WAX FAQ's
1. How often should I get a wax?
Every 4–6 weeks! Consistent waxing appointments help maintain smooth skin and allow your hair to grow back on a more predictable cycle. Your ideal schedule may vary depending on your hair growth and the area being waxed.
2. How long does my hair need to be before waxing?
About ¼ inch long (approximately the size of a grain of rice). This is typically enough length for the wax to grip the hair effectively and remove it from the root. If your hair is too short, the wax may not be able to remove it properly.
3. What’s the difference between waxing and shaving?
Waxing removes hair from the root, while shaving cuts hair at the skin’s surface. Waxing typically keeps your skin smoother for longer, with results often lasting 3–4 weeks. Shaving requires more frequent maintenance, and waxing may help reduce the appearance of stubble over time.
4. What are the benefits of waxing?
Waxing offers longer-lasting smoothness and exfoliation! It removes hair from the root while helping lift away some dead skin cells. With consistent appointments, you may notice softer regrowth and less noticeable stubble. Waxing can also help reduce the frequency of hair removal compared with shaving. However, proper aftercare is essential to help minimize irritation, ingrown hairs, and post-wax hyperpigmentation.
